It works the same as Proactive, except it's on $20.. I've used it and it's just as good as Proactive :-)
Proactive isn't a very effective product. A lot of dermatologists have a lot of patients who have problems with it. It basically bleaches out the redness, it doesn't really completely get rid of the problem.

Blackheads are harder to prevent than deeper pimples, but they are manageable.

Neutrogena has a good line of effective products, but anything with salicylic acid should work. Benzyl peroxide is also good. Higher percentages of these substances will work better, but they'll dry out your skin faster. If you want a moisturizer that won't cause too many pimples (any type of cream you put on your face will block your pores and ultimately cause pimples), Purpose SPF 15 moisturizer works.

If you have really bad acne, prescription medication should work the best, so a trip to the dermatologist could end up being lest costly than trying out a bunch of products that wont work that well.

Hope this helps. :)
Acne Free. Best $20 I EVA spent!!!!!!!!!!!! Good Luck!!!!!
splash face with hot water(open pores) then wash with neutrogena face cleanser(gets rid of oil dirt blackheads makeup and acne) then splash with cold water(close pores so that more bacteria cant get in).. once in morning and once at night..

i do this all and my face is really clear

(proactiv doesnt even work this fast) my sister uses it and mine is clearer than hers
yeah, i've got two products for you that will rock your world and are cheap....cleanser, which is essential...cetaphil is a great cheap cleanser for most skin types. and for a spot treatment in clean %26amp; clear persa gel 10....it works great!!!
Neutrogena On-the-Spot Acne cream in ';vanishing,'; or for really bad pimples use Clean %26amp; Clear Persa-gel 10 (scary stuff though, it'll bleach your clothes, so imagine what it does to your skin). I've used these for 12 years. You shouldn't put either all over your face (hence the name on-the-spot), especially if you have dry/sensitive skin. The best advice is to stop eating greasy foods, wash your face once a day, and avoid touching your face.
You should use Neutrogena. It's a mild product and good for your skin. The best way to fight acne is to wash your face every night whether you wear make-up or not. Wash your sheets and pillow cases atleast once a week. Make sure not to play with your face with your hands and if you have a fidgety habit of doing so, wash your hands several times a day (but you should do that anyways) Black heads are a little harder to fight but will reduce if you follow this advice. If you have bangs, use very little hair product in them, the oil will cause breakouts on your forehead. Once or twice a week use baking soda as an exfoliate, work in a circular motion over your face and neck on dampened, but not wet, skin and always use cool water. Hot water isn't all that great for the skins elasticity. Proactive doesn't work forever anyways, your skin builds up an immunity to it. I've used it and my esto's say not to.
